Vecchia Modena Lambrusco Sarabara 2022
The grapes for this wine are grown in the village of Sozzigalli, in the north of the province of Modena. The vines are planted in a single vineyard of 15 hectares on flat land, with soil rich in silt due to its alluvial origins.
The 2022 vintage can be characterised as an ideal vintage. The summer months saw few rain showers combined with high temperatures, providing optimal ripening conditions. The good weather continued into the harvest and there was a fantastic balance between acidity and sugar level in the grapes.
Deep ruby red in colour with a fine and persistent mousse. On the nose, there are vivid notes of blackberry and wild berries. The palate is fresh with intense fruit flavours, tempered by a lively acidity.
